FremontFremont Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in Riverside. Located in the city’s north side, Fremont is less than a mile from the site of the original Mexican settlement in Riverside, La Placita. Many of our students are descendants of those original settlers. Our student population reflects the cultural diversity that makes Riverside so rich.

RUSD students learn the power of one
Haiti USL Group Picture web.jpgAfter hearing about the devastating loss caused by the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, RUSD students and staff immediately started working to help those affected by this tragedy. With each one contributing just one small amount, the District has raised close to $14,000 so far for the relief effort.

RUSD earns multi-million dollar math grant
math.jpgRCC and UCR professors and district math specialists will be supporting teachers and students through the Pythagoras Project, a mathematics grant valued at more than 2.2 million dollars. The grant is made possible through the California Mathematics and Science Partnership.
