Hyatt Elementary School
|
| Welcome to Hyatt Elementary School! Our school motto is as follows: “Hyatt Hawks- Soaring With Pride”. Our motto is based on the conviction that effort, dedication, and a commitment to learning yields academic success and pride. A cornerstone of our success is the weekly teacher collaboration that examines the identification and daily application of best practice at every grade level. To this end, Hyatt’s Professional Learning Community allows teachers to systematically analyze data, set academic goals for content areas, and develop timely instructional responses to meet the needs of our students. Instructional responses to our students’ needs are embedded with research-based instructional strategies that yield or support academic success. The weekly collaboration, the analysis of academic results from common assessments, and ongoing instructional coaching provide feedback that is specific, accurate, and timely to our staff of educators. Teacher collaboration results in the implementation of best practice and purposeful abandonment of ineffective practices. To experience success and pride in our school we must also build and maintain strong partnerships with our parents and community to provide the very best education for our students. In short, Hyatt’s Professional Learning Community is committed to measuring success by what matters most – student learning!
Moreover, Hyatt Elementary was founded in 1964 and its mascot is the hawk. It is arguably the most scenic in the District. The leveled terrain offers a scenic view of the inland valley and was named after Edward Hyatt, who was the first County Superintendent of Riverside.
