| Patricia Beatty Elementary School opened the doors to students on August 27, 2007. Named for a local author of children’s books the site has a small orange grove to commemorate her book The Queen’s Own Grove. The site was built to relieve overcrowding in one of the oldest sections of Riverside. Students and teachers enjoy access to some of the most recent educational technology. Patricia Beatty looks forward to our future with enthusiasm.
Essential Information:
• Founded in 2007, our school is one of the newest in Riverside. • Our mascot is the bobcat. • Our school colors are green and gold. • Our school was named after Patricia Beatty,a local Author. • Our school motto is, “I am the author of my future.”

| RUSD students learn the power of one | After hearing about the devastating loss caused by the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, RUSD students and staff immediately started working to help those affected by this tragedy. With each one contributing just one small amount, the District has raised close to $14,000 so far for the relief effort.

| RUSD earns multi-million dollar math grant | RCC and UCR professors and district math specialists will be supporting teachers and students through the Pythagoras Project, a mathematics grant valued at more than 2.2 million dollars. The grant is made possible through the California Mathematics and Science Partnership.
